  • supervises shaping and implementing security policy, also advancing transatlantic, bilateral and multilateral cooperation with foreign countries and regions;
  • supervises strengthening the Eastern Neighbourhood initiative, bilateral and multilateral relations with the countries of Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia;
  • supervises shaping and implementing information policy, as well as strengthening public diplomacy;
  • supervises relationships with the Jewish communities around the world and coordinating issues related to the Holocaust, as well as Jewish cultural heritage;
  • supervises activities of Honorary Consuls;
  • performs other functions as assigned to him by Lithuania’s Foreign Minister.
